The bakery that takes orders by phone.

8 September 2026 · Hypothetical pattern, real prices · 3 min read

What this is: one ordinary business, three steps — the routine it runs today, the build that replaces it, the month the build pays for itself. A pattern, not a case study about one lucky client. If your business looks like this one, the shape transfers.

01 · The routine today

Customers call or walk in. Orders live in a paper notebook and one person's memory. Morning rush: the phone rings while hands are in dough. Missed call = lost order. Wrong scribbled note = wrong cake, remade for free. Two hours a day of phone-ordering work, at a baker's wage ~€15/hr ≈ €620/mo of order-taking, plus a remade cake every week or two.

02 · The build

An ordering bot and page — menu with photos, pickup-time slots, order confirmation to the customer and a tidy list for the shop. The €390 bot tier, live in days. And it's delivered as your code, in your repo: change the menu, the slots, the confirmations — yourself, anytime, no developer permission slip required.

03 · The crossover month

The €390 build versus €620/mo of order-taking labor: it pays for itself at month 2 on recovered missed calls alone, before counting the un-burnt cakes. Every month after that is money back.
